Who am I?

Namaste! I'm Jyoti. A desi girl exploring the world.

From the heart of Haryana to the high Alps — my journey is about raw, authentic, budget-friendly travel. I do not believe exploring the world requires a millionaire's bank account. Just curiosity, courage, and a working public-transport app.

Every guide on this site is written from the ground, with prices in ₹ (INR), vegetarian food checked, and the visa rules for Indian passports made clear.

Why this site exists

Every travel guide I read before my first Europe trip was written either by someone who clearly never went, or by someone whose definition of "budget" was a four-star hotel. Both were useless. I learnt the hard way that the rules change completely once you are Indian — the visa is different, the food rules are different, and the apps locals use are not on Indian Google searches.

So I started writing the guides I wished I had — boots-on-the-ground, public-transport-first, with exact prices in INR and every train change spelled out. If you have an Indian passport and a normal Indian budget, this site is for you.

What I cover

🇨🇭 Switzerland (deep)

Swiss Travel Pass deep-dives. Lucerne base + day trips. Mount Pilatus, Rigi, Titlis, Stoos, Stanserhorn. Andermatt's Devil's Bridge. Rhine Falls. Glacier Express alternatives.

🥗 Food strategy abroad

100% vegetarian everywhere. Swiss grocery ranking (Denner → Migros → Coop → Spar). Ready-meal options. How to carry MTR / Haldiram / ITC / Gits pouches abroad.

🛂 Visa-easy destinations

Visa-free or e-visa picks for Indian passport holders: Bali, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Maldives. Schengen for Switzerland when you must.

🚆 Public transport first

Trains, buses, ferries — not taxis, not tour buses. The apps that locals actually use: SBB Mobile, Omio, Klook, Grab. Real walking directions from each station.

Start with my best guide

If you're planning your first Europe trip from India, the Swiss Travel Pass deep-dive is where I'd start. It saved me roughly ₹40,000 across one week and is the single guide most readers tell me they wish they'd found earlier.
